The New Room!

Hey guys,

Here are a few pics of the newly renovated craft/exercise room I have made out of Tyler's former room!! I also put up a pic of my new luggage set!!! They both have a handle with wheels, etc. Got them really, really cheap at Ross. It's a discount clothing store and has household items too. I hadn't really gotten a chance to spend all my Christmas money due to paying for other things, so I made some recent purchases for myself. Let me know what you think!! :) I got everything either on sale or a discounted price, so I did really well getting everything I wanted for the room.

Hope you are wearing green today or you will be pinched!! hahaha

Working half the day at the bank and then driving Kalyn down to Albuquerque to the airport. She is going to visit her Dad and step-mom Stephanie in Kansas until Sunday! I'm happy she gets to go and have a little fun. Her Dad told her they will take her to the Wizard of Oz museum and things like that. Kalyn's Spring break isn't until the end of this month, but we decided it would be ok to miss 2 days of school to go see her Dad. Kalyn did really well this last quarter of school, so I'm so proud of her!! One more quarter left for the year. Can't believe she will be a Senior next year!! Wow!!

Tyler is doing well. We hope to hookup with him on Sunday for dinner, hopefully.

It's March!!

Hey all,

Not too much going on with us, but thought I would make a post anyway!!

Lesley, at work, redid our whole aquarium by taking EVERYTHING out of it, cleaned it all up and ordered new pumps, etc. I took a couple pics of the finished product. It looks really nice now. No fish in it yet as it has to settle before adding "life" to it. She's thinking of getting some oscars. I wish she would get a bunch of more tame fish than that, but oh well. There is only 3 of us in our branch now, so things are run a little tight right now. There has to be 2 of us there at all times, so the other day when Lesley took the day off, Christine and I had to be there all day without leaving or anything. It's kind of a pain, but this will only last until April, when they can hire someone, but only at part-time status. Our bank is doing really well, but I think they want to keep it that way!!

We are working on our vacation time at work. Lesley has like 10 weeks to take this year and I have 7! Don't really have the funds to go off and do something REALLY fun, but the time off with Kalyn will be nice. I'll have to get down and dirty with the house or something and just go on a cleaning/scrubbing walls expedition.

Kalyn had a wonderful concert the other night! It's their last one for the year already.

Haven't spoke to Ty, so don't know what he is up to....I'm sure he's doing well though.

Saturday just working....

Hey all,

I'm having a decent Saturday, so far!! Spent the morning being a bit lazy...then made some elk chili to make frito pies tonight. I have it simmering in the crockpot as we speak. I went over to Kev's and cleaned up a bit there. Right now I'm working at the gym and working on the deposit for them. Fun, fun.... I also did a few things with the Jeep before work. Kalyn had it all day yesterday so there was sand everywhere in it and I vacuumed all that up, washed the windows and then put some grease into the front end by the tires. Since we have the lift, I have to grease the A-arms now and then. Not sure why or anything... LOL

Kalyn is doing well. I think she finally signed up for her online courses so hopefully she will get moving on that. She is doing well with counseling and now her new interest is church with her friends. I think that is a great thing for her.

Tyler is doing ok. Working a lot more and he got his taxes back so he's pretty pumped about that.

Not much else to report....it's a bit cloudy outside and supposed to snow tomorrow, but we shall see. :) Until next time...

Lazy Sunday!

Hey all,

Just thought I would type up a quick post.....

Had a real nice lazy morning!! Watched a bit of Olympics and had some breakfast. Then, I threw some meat, potatoes and carrots in the crockpot and got that going so I could eat lunch before heading to the gym to work today.

Was real busy yesterday working at the gym and then went to Angie's house to clean for 2 hours. Angie is out of town, so it was just a matter of taking out the trash, vacuuming and dusting. (not in that order, mind you) I had time leftover yesterday so I began going thru more cupboards and such and getting things thrown out that we haven't used in years. I keep going through these same cupboards every few months and I always find something I can get rid of!! Kind of a nice feeling. Then, I went through my closet and put all my scarves/belts into a little bin that I had and pulled out all my craft stuff and took it into the exercise room cuz I will be turning that into the hobby/exercise room. I put all wrapping paper, bows, mailing boxes and all craft stuff in there now. All I need to do is go buy the table and little rolling chair, and I will be set. I'm pretty excited to be able to go in there and do things and just shut the door if I'm in the middle of something and don't want the cats to attack my projects!! I'm feeling really organized now so that makes me happy!!

Not much else to report today. Weather is cloudy/snowy and then all of a sudden...it's sunny!! LOL Until next time....

Hey all,

My mother is PESTERING me to get something on my blog besides "someone else's dogs", so here goes....

Had to spend $400 on the Jeep this month....alignment and now the master panel in the center console of the Jeep that controls the windows going up and down. Ugh....I'm hoping March becomes a much cheaper month. I was hoping February would be, but no such luck.

Kalyn had her physical with a new doctor down in Espanola. The facility and people were really nice there. She has a follow-up appointment to check her bloodwork and to make sure her records from up here were transferred successfully. We had her senior class sign-up meeting today with her counselor. She got all her classes figured out and now just has to begin her online courses to get caught up.

I completed Tyler's taxes and his FAFSA stuff for college. He's all excited about the money he will be getting back and also the grants/loans he is approved for!! I'm hoping he goes back to school. He is getting more hours at the coffee shop now, so that is good.

I've just been busy with all the jobs I've got going on. Some weekends I have nothing to do, and then other weekends I am so busy I can't keep up with myself. This weekend approaching will be one of the busier ones. Oh well.... Even if I don't work, I always find something to tackle. Thinking of setting up a long folding table in the exercise room so that I can setup my cards/beads in there to make stuff. I know my mom got a table from Target that she uses for her blankets, so I was thinking of something like that. Gotta wait until next month to purchase it though!! LOL

Hey all,

Been a bit since I last posted!! All is well...I just hate to blog without pics, so I finally took some pics and here I am!!

Kids are doing fine. Tyler is thinking of going back to school in the fall. He is still working away in ABQ and living with Emily. Kalyn is doing wonderful and busy with school and work.

I've been crazy busy and also a bit under the weather...had a gallbladder attack of some kind last weekend, so I rested after being in Urgent care most of the day last Friday. Haven't had any pains, but they said to stay away from greasy foods, etc for awhile. I'm taking the doctors advice!! They took blood and also had me do an ultrasound on my organs. They said all my organs look great!! Woohoo!!

Jobs are going well. The bank has really cut back. There are no raises this year and they also lumped our sick/vacation hours into PTO (paid time off) hours. I have about 7 weeks of vacation to use this year and my boss has almost double that. She needs to take at least a week a month to use it all. I'm planning two weeks in May, two weeks in September/October and then possible a few weeks here and there. Ugh...hate to use that all up, but ya have to, or lose it. I can carry over 48 hours to next year, so probably will do that.
