NEWSLETTER FOR SCHULTZ FAMILY
MARCH 1, 2009
Hope this finds everyone doing well out there. We are doing just fine here. We are just keeping busy with the day to day stuff, like always. The kids are looking forward to spring break which is the last week in March, first week of April. Shortly after that will be Tyler’s graduation and then summertime!!
Shane is doing well!! He was put into a different area of the training unit where you heal and then they put you with a company that is basically in the same time frame of where you left off with your previous company. His foot is healing, but he then had heel problems with several fractures in and around the heel. Now, he says, the heel is much better and it feels just fine to him. I told him not to rush, because once he gets back he does NOT want to get hurt again or they may discharge him. His doctor appointment is the 9th, so he will have another bone scan done and see how things look on the foot. I pray that he just heals and can move forward. If all goes well, he should graduate in May. That would get him home just in time to see Tyler graduate and see all the family here. Shane is able to call/text on the weekends, so that is nice. I just sent him a box full of movies, the portable DVD player, his Ipod, headphones, chargers, etc, etc. He didn’t get it today, so we are hoping next week he will. We are sending him so many good thoughts his way!!
Tyler is working away at Starbucks and also with his school work so that he can graduate this May!! We are pretty excited for the big event. It is May 23rd and everyone is welcome to come celebrate with us. Tyler did really well in the Topper Revue and continues to jam out with friends in his spare time. He is also still dating Emily and she is a real nice girl. Emily will be starting out in college as a Sophomore due to her grades and classes she has been taking. She will also be attending UNM in Albuquerque in the fall, like Tyler is.
Kalyn is getting really excited to go to San Diego on March 19th!! Her trip is all paid for and now she is just saving up for some spending money to take along with her. I hope she will take some real nice pictures this year so I can post them for you all to see. Their BIG stops on the trip are Sea World and Hard Rock CafĂ©. Kalyn is doing real good in school and is trying her best to get good grades the rest of the year. We had a conference with the advisors to setup classes for next year and she is gonna have a full load. Hopefully she can keep up with it. She is still driving here and there and we are going to go renew her license for another 6 months due to the fact that she doesn’t have all her driving time in yet. So, by summer, she should be fully licensed. Scary thought!! No, she is a really safe driver!!
As for myself, I continue to keep the kids in line, work all my jobs and exercise about 5 days a week. Time is just flying by so fast I can hardly comprehend it!! Life is good, I cannot complain at the moment!! I went and saw “Slumdog Millionaire”, which was an excellent movie. I also was rooting for the Cardinals to win the Super Bowl, but they lost to the Steelers. Oh well…..there’s always next year. I go see the eye doctor, regular doctor and dentist all within the next month, so I will let you know if any of them find anything wrong with me…..besides the obvious, that is!!!
Until next time......
