Happy New Year 2010!!!

Wow!! Another new year upon us.... It is just so crazy how fast the time goes.

I'm on vacation now and go back to the gym on the 6th and the bank on the 7th. Got several things lined up and trying to relax when I can too. It's nice to have this time off to get caught up and ready for another new year. I went through some more cupboards and things. Keep finding things that belong to Shane and want to make sure it gets put with his stuff and also to get rid of things I won't use.

Weather has been pretty cold here lately. Colder than normal, I believe.

Kalyn comes back on Saturday. I will make the drive up to Durango on Saturday am and then return by 5 (I'm hoping). Don't want to drive back in the dark. Tyler was going to come along, but has to work now. I asked him to try to get someone to cover his shift. I also asked Kevin last night if he would want to go. He is going to let me know soon, I hope!!

I'm hoping for a wonderful, happy and healthy 2010 for myself and also for the rest of you out there. If it wasn't for the love of family, I wouldn't be the person I am today!! Thanks everyone!! Happy New Year!!! Until next time....

Merry Christmas 2009!!

Hey all!!

Not too much to report from good ol' Los Alamos this year. Kalyn is in Moab, UT with her Grandma Barb and also with Shane. Tyler came to Los Alamos with Emily and are spending a lot of time snowboarding and hanging out with her family. Tyler did come by and open gifts and eat and off he was to greater adventures!! Kevin went to Florida to spend Xmas with his mom and Tj so everyone has left LA except for myself... oh well... I got the house clean, did some paperwork and laundry. I also made some stratta for breakfast (thanks to Auntie Julie for the recipe and leftover bread crumbs!) and last night made meatloaf after my shopping trip to Santa Fe. Couldn't find what I was looking for in SF, so ordered it online today. It is Season 2 of the HBO series "True Blood". Love it!!!

Me and the cats are just chillin' watching "Home Alone" (yes, that is me at the moment) and enjoying the sunny weather today. Love to all and Merry Christmas!! Until next time....

Christmas decorating!!

Hey all,

Finally got my Christmas tree up and all the lights and decor around the house too. Looks festive with all the lights everywhere... Kalyn said she came out of her room and with all the Christmas lights on around the house, she said to herself, "its Christmas"... lol Thought that was cute...

Kalyn's birthday lunch 12-11-09

Hey all,

I'm posting a couple of pics from Kalyn's birthday lunch on Friday. We went to the 50's diner (her choice) with her two friends, Bj and Katrina. Kev also joined us with his friend Dave. It was very nice and we were all late getting back to work/school cuz the food took forever!! lol It was a nice time!!

Next Sunday, I drive K up to Durango to meet her father so she can spend Xmas with him. She had planned on coming back the following Sunday (the 27th) but now it looks as if she may stay until the 2nd and Gram Barb will drive her back to Durango for Shane. We will play it by ear as no one knows what the weather may be like. I begin my vacation on Dec. 30th, so it doesn't matter what day we meet around that time. No word on if Tyler is coming along or not.

My divorce became final now and feels a little strange, but good. I think Shane and I make much better friends than being married to one another. I'm grateful for all he gave during the marriage. He tried his hardest. :)

That's all I got...Snow is on the way today/tomorrow so may post pics of that!! I've got all my Christmas cookies baked/frosted now just have to decorate the house!! Working on that today. I'm also housesitting for Kev so gotta run over there and see what's up too. He's hunting again. :)

Snow, snow and more snow in Los Alamos!!

Hey all,

It is a school closure day here due to the snow we got yesterday and last night. We lost power this morning and I was all worried my pipes would burst or something!! I was BURIED in snow behind the Jeep so dug myself out and almost ready to head to work now and it's almost 10!! Nice!!

Here are some pics. One from last night and two from today!! Auntie Julie called me this morning and they, also, have a ton of snow. It is moving East!!!!! :)

Well, its December...time for Kalyn's birthday and soon to follow, Christmas. Love this time of year to send out cards, keep in touch with family and ooohhh, the holiday baking!! Looking forward to a new start and new year!! I hope to post photos on here soon. Gotta get my DSL back up and running.

It was a really, really nice Thanksgiving with Tj and Diana and peeps. We played "apples to apples" after the big dinner and dessert. Always a fun time laughing with them....

Cold Saturday....

It's about to snow here!! Temps have dropped and I don't think we can avoid it this time. :) This is fine with me....love to watch the snow fall.

Kalyn and I are doing fine these days. She is plugging away at school and trying to get her grades up before the end of the semester.

Got to see Tyler last weekend when I picked him up to take him to the airport and then when I picked them up from the airport and took him home. He was in a really good mood, so that was nice. He is working and not going to school for now. He plans to go to school at a later time. He wants to attend a musician school in California. It is VERY expensive.

Ellen and Will...wedding weekend

Hey all,

Tyler and Kalyn flew out early Saturday am to Oakland, CA and were picked up by Dave and Heidi to tour San Francisco all day and then to attend Ellen and Will's wedding on Sunday. The kids said they had a great time and got to see a lot of family. Dave said he took a photo of the kids by the Golden Gate bridge, and will send it, so I'm excited to have it. I'm hoping it will make a great Xmas card photo this year. Kalyn said they were go, go, go all the time, but had a GREAT time!! I picked the kids up from the airport late last night. Kalyn and I got to Los Alamos at 12:30 am so we are a bit tired today. Thank you Ellen and Will for flying them out for the wedding and congrats to you both!!!

Halloween is almost here!! Hopefully I will get some pics up of me and Lesley, from the bank, dressed up as witches!! Kalyn is going to a Halloween party on Saturday night and she is going to be a cat this year. She will be cute!! At the bank we give out candy from 5-7 on Friday night. It's going to be coooolllldd!!!

Had our 2nd snow today. Our first snowfall was Monday!! Hard to believe it is that time of year.

Tyler came home!!

Hey all,

Tyler came home on Saturday and spent the night with me and Kalyn. He had some things to do, so he and Emily drove up for a quick overnight stay. I didn't get to see Emily as she stayed at her parents house doing laundry. Tyler got his broken window swapped out and then he vacuumed up the mess inside the car from the broken glass and now it looks real nice. It was good to have him here!! Kalyn said her and Tyler had some nice chats and are getting along nicely.

Getting ready for next weeks Halloween activities. We dress up at the bank on Friday for the annual "Trick or Treat on Main St" event. Lesley and I will be witches this year. We are handing out large size Skittles and Starburst to all the kids this year. About 1000 kids come through the bank from 5-7pm. Should be a good time, but a pain too.

Not a whole lot going on... just working and such like always...

Kalyn got her drivers license today!! Very proud of her!!

Tyler got his Honda Civic broken into in ABQ the other morning. They took his stereo and broke a small window. Already got a new window on the way (Tyler had previously broken this same window to get into his car after locking himself out, so he already knew where to get a replacement window for cheap AND he knows how to install it) and he will come up here to install it.

Shane is doing well. He's looking forward to being home for Thanksgiving.

End of September...how can that be??

Hey all,

Well, here we are almost to October!! 2009 is just flying by at a rapid speed!!

Kalyn was unable to take her drivers test. It had been a year since her written test, so they made her retake that and then reschedule the driving part. Her new test date is October 14th. Kalyn is going to Homecoming with friends next weekend (Oct 3rd), so we bought her a cute black dress.

Tyler is doing fine. He is really busy with school and working. Since Emily is a vegetarian, I had been wanting to buy them a rice cooker for their apartment. I finally ordered one and had it delivered to their apartment and Tyler told me they got it alright. He will come for a visit around Thanksgiving.

Shane is doing really well. He has been promoted to Specialist now!! Woohoo!! He is also in charge of the armory and has over 2 million dollars in equipment that he is responsible for. Yikes!!

I'm doing well and enjoying the time I have with just Kalyn at home. We get along well and she is still at a point in her life that she WANTS me to be around her, so I'm taking advantage of that. :) When I'm not working, I'm trying to get her to come exercise with me and then she's been doing really good on her homework while I cook her dinner. It's working out well and like I said, I'm enjoying this time with her.

Not doing a whole lot this weekend. I got a lot of my "projects" completed last weekend, so that is nice. I did buy a plastic shelf unit for the storage shed to get the paint cans, gas cans, gloves, etc off the floor of the shed and now there is more room and looks nicer. I'm working at the gym today and cleaning for Angie tomorrow a.m. Kalyn suggested that we go to a movie tomorrow, but we will see.

September Weekend

Hey all,

Haven't written in a bit, so figured I would type something up quickly here. It sure is cooling down a lot at night now. I have to actually close all the windows at night so we don't have such a chilly morning around here. The cold makes it easier to sleep at night too. Love it!! :)

Kalyn and I are doing well. Been real busy catching up on my jobs since I had Labor day weekend off. Shane came and went and we had a nice time! He will be back at Thanksgiving time and then again for two weeks at Christmas. :) Kalyn is about to take her drivers test on Tuesday and has already asked to use the Jeep on Wednesday!! Ugh.... this is going to be fun....she wants to spend a little time tomorrow on going over things in the Jeep like hazard lights, etc. that she may be asked to turn on for the instructor. Hopefully all goes well and she passes with flying colors!!

Talked to Tyler here and there. He got his job at Satellite coffee and started work right after Labor Day. He has been broke for two months so he told me he is really stressed out. He is doing fine in school and has Fridays off.

I am off this weekend so I'm doing a little baking (making homemade cinnamon rolls with pecan syrupy topping) on Sunday and today I washed all the curtains in the house and ironed them all. I also clean for Tj and Diana now, so I went over there and finished up the cleaning I started last weekend and now their house looks really nice!! (Kev actually texted me and said the "house looks great"!! Awww) I'm also finishing up some projects for my sisters birthday and also a couple of scrapbooks. Should get it all done tomorrow and watch some football and some movies. I went and worked out today too. Haven't ran since last Monday, so I needed to get a run in.

Labor Day weekend

Hey all,

We had an awesome time over at Tj and Diana's and the dinner was MOST wonderful at El Paragua. I also got a job offer from Tj!! I am now their part-time housekeeper!! I am hired to go clean up the house now that they have left for Florida and then once a month after that. I'm so excited as I was pondering what to do about another cleaning job. Didn't really wanna start with someone new and didn't really wanna do it unless I HAD to. This works out perfect though and I appreciate them hiring me. :)

Had a fun time going to Durango and back. Julie cooked us a wonderful lunch and we had some nice time with her and then with Barb also. Barb was gracious enough to give me her log bed!! We got it home and put it together...and it's for a full size bed, NOT a queen as we all had thought!! So, we will keep it in our storage shed until we either downsize (Shane says that won't happen) or if one of the kids would like to borrow it at some point. So, I'm a bit disappointed tonight that the whole bed thing didn't work out. :(

Monday, tomorrow, Shane and I will go on another 3 mile run, then get ready to head to ABQ to see Tyler and Emily and their new place. We will all go have lunch and then head back to LA to get Shane packed up and ready to leave early Tuesday. We've been working real hard on stuff around here all weekend, but we've had a great time just being together. :) I'm really appreciating the time we all have now. Kalyn is enjoying her dad also.

Hey all,

It's Labor Day weekend already!! Shane is home and we are painting a dresser, packing up clothes and getting items of furniture ready for Shane to take to Kansas to furnish his apartment with. Today we painted the peach dresser that Kalyn had, black so that it matches Shane's stuff. Turned out real nice!! We also fixed our shower, put new cushiony things on the bottom of the kitchen chairs and Shane showed me how to turn off the water (in case of emergency) on the house and how to shut off the water to the a/c when it gets cold. Right now we are at Tj and Diana's waiting for Kevin and Jesse to show up. We are all going to El Paragua for dinner tonight. Tj and D leave for Florida tomorrow, so they wanted to spend some time with us.

Sunday we are driving to Durango to meet up with Barb. We will be eating lunch with my Aunt Julie and she is going to feed us all some lunch. We are also picking up the headboard and footboard (made of logs) for me from Barb.

Monday we are going to Albuquerque so that Shane and Tyler can see each other! Shane will also get to see his apartment and we will take Ty to lunch. Tyler got the job with Satellite Coffee and will start very soon. He's very happy about finally having a job. :)

The bank was quite fun this week....NOT. Lesley was out on vacation and of course anything bad that could happen, did. We had a water leak from upstairs and then the alarm system went awry. I got everything fixed and taken care of, thankfully. Had a very busy week with opening and closing the bank and then going straight to the gym after the bank. I'm happy I have the weekend off to enjoy with the fam!!

End of August!!

Hey all,

Been a pretty busy week and now another one is approaching!! The cool thing is, that at the end of the week, Shane will be home for Labor Day weekend and I have the whole weekend off!!! Will be very nice!! We are going to be doing a lot of running around, driving here and there, but it will be a fun time.

Kalyn is looking at cars lately. Kinda scary, but necessary. We are looking at one today and then we are going to try to get her a loan for a car, so I will let you know how this turns out. The DMV no longer accepts driving tests performed by police officers, so she has to wait until Sept 22nd when her scheduled test is at DMV. She is looking forward to it.

Tyler starts college tomorrow!! Woohoo!! We hope all goes well for him. He is job hunting also. He got a loan for school, but he doesn't receive it until the end of Sept, so he is broke right now.

Kalyn and I are going to see "Halloween II" today in Santa Fe. It is not playing up here and we are really excited to go see it.

I work open to close at the bank all week due to Lesley being on vacation and then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights I work at the gym (so that I could have the weekend off) and then Thursday night I clean a house. Really busy this week!! I will be working,eating and sleeping if you can't find me. :)

Saturday

Hey all,

Don't have to work much this weekend, for once, so I got all my scrapbooks caught up, laundry done and now working on Tyler's room. He has some things in there he didn't want to take to ABQ, but would like for me to keep, so I'm dealing with that and cleaning the walls, window, etc. I got a standing fan for that room so that when I'm exercising, the air can circulate in that little room. It's really sad not having him there. He lived in that room for 11 years. :(

Kalyn is getting into the swing of school and about ready to take her drivers test!! She's pretty excited about it. Hard to believe she began her Junior year at the High School.

Shane is getting ready to come home for Labor Day weekend. We have a lot of furniture moving to do and we are even driving up to Durango to meet Barb to pick up a bed from her. She has this log bed that I have been wanting for a few years now. She no longer wants it, so I get it!! Diana is giving us an old "dry sink" too. Love inherited furniture!!

I've been busy working and such. Lost one of my Saturday cleaning jobs, but that is ok. I'm trying to cut back anyway. Had a great time in Wisconsin and hoping to get back there next summer for the Wilson family reunion.

Wisconsin Trip

Hey all,

My trip to Wisconsin to see family and friends was a success!! I got to spend a lot of time with everyone this time so it was SUPER special!! My father took me for a motorcycle ride and that was awesome!! I also spent a lot of time with my sis, one on one, which was a nice treat. Also, spending time with my grandparents was really special. Got to see Aunt Jill and her boyfriend Tim, Cousin Bruce and his wife Jamie, Auntie Florence, Bev and Babe, Dad and Lori, Jenni and Trent, Gram and Gramp, Aunt Kathy and Uncle Dennis, Auntie Ann and then Haley and Marcus. Ann, Haley and Marcus had me join them for a trip to the amusement park in Minnesota called Valleyfair. I hadn't been there since I was like 16, I think. I really enjoyed my time with everyone and appreciate the time everyone took to make sure to see me. I will post a few photos here, so enjoy!! I also put some on Facebook, if you would like to go see some there as well.

The reunion was really fun and I spent most of my time with my friend Jenny!! We had a good time at Houligan's on Friday the 7th, just chatting with former classmates and trying to figure out who people were etc. Most people looked really different and then of course some people NEVER change. The same groups hung out, which was really funny to see again. Saturday night I decided I would never see these people again, so I drank a few screwdrivers later in the evening and ended up dancing from 11pm to 2am straight!!! I even started a dance train to Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". I had about 20 people in line behind me!!! It was a lot of fun!! :) Most people said I looked really good and couldn't believe the change. It was nice that people noticed.

Tyler turns 19 years old today!!

Hey all,

Hope all is well out there. I'm taking Kalyn to Albuquerque to get some school clothes today. School starts here tomorrow already!!! She is a junior this year. Hard to believe these kids getting so big!!

Tyler turns 19 today and I am just amazed. Him and Emily have been here in LA since Wednesday. They are planning on being here until the 19th. Can't remember when his school starts. He will be going to CNM in ABQ. It is a community college. Much cheaper and a lot of his friends will be attending that school as well.

Shane will be home Labor Day weekend. I'm really looking forward to that. We will make a quick trip to Durango to meet Shane's mom and pick up an awesome bed set from her that she is giving us. I've been begging for it forever now. (I'm sure we can meet up with Aunt Julie as well)

I'm still busy, busy. Lost one of my cleaning jobs so I'm down to 2 now which is just about perfect. I'm hoping I won't miss the money too, too much. I should be ok. Shane gets a promotion soon so that will help. :)

39th Birthday!!

Hey all,

I had an awesome birthday this year. Started the morning off with a "happy birthday" text from my sis and my spouse. I worked at the bank and they had a potluck for me consisting of frito pies, cake and ice cream. They gave me a gift certificate to go have a massage done in Santa Fe that night!! As soon as I was off work, I headed down to Santa Fe and had the massage of my life. It was amazing and relaxing and I loved it. I wish I had done this years ago. It really made my day!! I got lots of calls and texts, which I really appreciate, from everyone!! Got lots of giftcards to go spend and lots of cards too.

My Jeep is back....but the battery is dead! :(

Got the Jeep back last night!! Woohoo!!! It looks gorgeous and shiny!! Went to drive it to go down to the gym this morning and the battery is dead!! lol Tj is on his way over to help me, but in the meantime....I snapped a couple of photos of it. :)

Another week....

Hey all,

Called about the status of the Jeep today, and they said it would be ready next week sometime. It was in getting painted and then they needed to assemble the pieces again. I'm getting pretty excited to see how it looks when it is all finished. Very cool!! Hopefully we get this done before I leave for Wisconsin August 5th. I may have to turn the rental in and get a ride to the airport, but we will see.

Not much else to report at the moment. Looking forward to a nice weekend at home getting things done.

Rental Car....ooohhhh yeahhhh!!!

Hey guys,

Attached is a pic of the 2008 Dodge Charger I am driving around while our 2005 Jeep Liberty is getting fixed. Our insurance provider, Allstate, called the other day to let me know that the bodyshop fixing the Jeep, SF Chevrolet, had to fix or replace the drivers side door, put a brand new hood AND roof on the Jeep and the total cost of damages done to the vehicle is close to $5000!!! We only pay our $500 deductible. Pretty crazy how the hail did so much damage!!! A lot of vehicles in town are being deemed as "totalled".

Saturday

Hey all,

Another lovely NM weekend!! I'm working at the gym as we speak. The place is clean so I thought I would type up a few words!!

I called on the Jeep yesterday to check the status. It is all finished except, they said, for the roof and hood which had to be ordered as they were "beyond repair"!! Interesting, I thought. I'm a little frightened about a new roof, but Shane tells me that you won't even be able to tell they did anything. I sure hope so. I did let SF Chevrolet know that our satellite radio cords run through the top of the Jeep so to be careful not to cut anything!! Will have to do the same thing with the windshield guys when they come to replace that. So, in the meantime, I am enjoying my rental car which is a 2008 Dodge Charger...bright red...and you push the accelerator and it goes!!!! I will take a photo and post on here for you all to enjoy!!

Kids are doing well. Tyler got a transfer to Starbucks down on Central Ave in Albuquerque and starts on August 1st. Both him and Emily move into their apartment by August 1st as well. Will be sad to see him go!! I think Kalyn is sad too. His room will turn into the guest and exercise room. (I asked Ty if I should "keep" his room for him and he politely said "NO"!!)

Shane got moved into HIS one bedroom apartment this weekend. He likes it alot. Doesn't have much stuff, but then again, he really doesn't need much. He will be going to Afghanistan in March so not much longer. I will put his address and Tyler's on here soon.

Jemez Mountain Music Fest

Hey all,

Kalyn and I just returned from the gorgeous Jemez Mountains, to see Tyler and his band play a concert. They are called Kamakaze Death and they were one of several bands playing up there this weekend. Since Tyler asked me to go about a month ago, I decided I better take this opportunity and go since #1 Tyler asked me and #2 Tyler will be moving out soon and I may not get this chance to see him "locally". He plans to keep jamming with his buddies once they all move to Albuquerque, so one never knows what could happen with them. Will they make it big? Who knows....

Hail Storm today!!

Hey all,

Had an awful hailstorm today!! EVERY car in the Community Bank parking lot had damage on the hoods....YES, that included my Jeep!! I have damage on the hood, roof and the drivers side above and below all the windows.... I have a claims call in and the adjuster is supposed to come check it out between Tuesday and Thursday. Lots of broken windshields throughout town, depending on where your car was parked during the storm. I have a $500 deductible so I will see what the adjuster and my friend Steve, over at Quality Autobody, has to say about the cost/damage. It is the talk of the town today!!!!

4th of July Weekend

Hey all!!

Had a wonderful weekend with my hubby and kids all here for a change!! Shane rolled into LA in the afternoon after a short stop in Santa Fe to get new tires put on his truck and to pick up some snails for the fish tank. Shane stopped by the bank to say hello and then he headed over to Starbucks to see Tyler. He said Tyler greeted him with a hug!!! Then, Shane got home and hung out with Kalyn for a bit. After a short nap, he woke up while I was home (between both jobs) to throw in some laundry and we chatted and caught up. I went to work and Shane and the kids hung out at home.

Saturday am, both Shane and I got up and got ready to head out to the YMCA 5K race!! Shane finished in 26 min and came in 2nd in his age group out of 3!! I did mine in 31 min and came in 5th out of 11 women in my age group. It was a really nice run. After a short visit to Starbucks for a treat and to see Tyler, we went home and got ready for the BBQ. I chopped and prepared food while Shane got the grill ready and decided we needed more propane. We drove uptown and got more propane and also oil and essentials for the truck. Around 1:30, our friend Will and girlfriend Leeanne came by. We ate and chatted and talked tattoos!! Finally around 4, when the party was becoming quiet, Kev and his two friends, Garrett and Sonia, showed up to party!! Kev was being quite obnoxious, but we had a great time. Everyone left around 6 and then we prepared to head down for the fireworks show in White Rock. We had a great day!!

Sunday was spent cleaning Shane's truck, changing the oil and then loading him up with household items as now Shane has been told he needs to find a house to live in. We got all that done and also made it to the movie in the afternoon. We saw "Transformers". It was pretty good...Shane really enjoyed it.

Shane left us this morning around 7. He is almost back to Ft. Riley as we speak. He had a great time and misses us already!!!

Kids had dental appointments this morning and all is well there. No cavaties!! As for me...back to work..got a full week so that I have the weekend off for the Trapp/Webb family reunion. Should be fun...

That's what I love about Sunday's......

Hey all,

Kalyn made it home safe and sound from her trip to Alaska!! I picked her up at the airport and then we had to wait for the next flight's luggage to come in, in order for Kalyn to get her suitcase. Wasn't too bad of a wait and then she changed her clothes and freshened up and then we headed over to Rio Rancho to go to Cottonwood Mall. I bought her a welcome home gift....a monkey from Build-a-Bear!!! I got my self a pink bear and we got to stuff it and put the heart in it all at the same time!! They have a little routine where you kiss the heart, make a wish, etc....so we got to do that together and then they close up your animal. It's so cute!! Then, you make your animal its very own birth certificate. It's a very cool store and we had fun in there.

I had a really nice lunch with Tyler on Friday. I took him to the Hill Diner. I had planned on asking him to go before Kalyn got home, but kept forgetting to ask him!! So, when he came in the bank on Friday, and I was about to go to lunch, I was like...hey...we should go to lunch!!! He obliged me and we went. He and Emily are planning on moving in together here in a few weeks in ABQ. They both plan on attending college and he says Emily's family is real supportive of the whole idea and will be helping them move and get settled. I made sure to let him know that if he needs anything, and we can help, we certainly will do that. A lot of their friends will be down there too, so he's really looking forward to it. I couldn't be more proud of him...

Shane comes home next weekend for the 4th!! He will arrive in NM and go straight to Santa Fe to put new tires on his truck. He plans to be here in Los Alamos in the afternoon and then will probably go straight to bed after being awake all night. I close the bank at 3, but then have to work at the gym at 6. So, I will probably go workout after the bank and then head home to see him and get ready to go to work again. Saturday the 4th, we are both running the YMCA 5K Firecracker run and then a day filled with food and fun!! Sunday we plan to hang around as well. He will leave early in the am on the 6th. Will be a nice weekend with us all together!!

Tuesday!

Hey all,

Tried to post last night from work on my Dell mini computer and the wifi connection was lost just as I hit "publish post" button.... so... lost my story I told....oh well!! LOL

Kalyn arrives in ABQ on Sat. am so I will go pick her up! I'm pretty excited to have her back! I have the weekend off so hopefully we can do something fun together. I work Mon, Wed, Fri nights at the gym this week so that I could be off to go get her.

Tyler is doing well. He went to a small concert up north this weekend. The bands are all local and he had a good time. He's still trying to figure out the college thing. UNM is waiting on a couple of things and he needs to hurry and get it turned in. Mostly Tyler is waiting on 2 schools to turn stuff in so it's really not Tyler who can control it.

Shane is looking forward to a hugh country concert this weekend with all kinds of stars/singers there. Kelly Pickler, Tim McGraw, James Otto...etc, etc. I hope he takes photos!! He will be home July 3rd and leave early in the am on July 6th. We are looking forward to his visit!! He needs new tires on the truck and our a/c line has a small leak so if I don't get it fixed before he gets here, then he gets to fix that also. :)

Slower week!!

Hey all,

Just another quick one...

Shane informed me that they will have a 4-day weekend every month!! They just had one this past weekend. His next one will be the 4th of July, so he will be coming home for a short visit and will hopefully run the 5K with me!!! Should be a fun time and it will be here before we know it!!

Kalyn comes home the 27th and she is having a ton of fun with Gramma Joyce. They saw moose out in the wild last night and even 2 baby moose!! Kalyn said she took pics and I cant wait to see 'em.

Tyler is doing well. He bought a few things for his car stereo so he's been working on that lately. He's got a concert coming up that he is playing with his band so he's real excited about that.

As for myself.. slower week which is really nice and hoping I can finally get my newsletter out!!!! I'm really trying and it's the only thing on my plate right now to get done. I'm thinking of phasing it out since I have this blog. We will see.. had a nice dinner with Tj and Diana and Tyler last night at DeColores. They go every Monday night and I couldn't go LAST Monday cuz I was getting my hair cut and then had to go to work. They leave on Sunday for 2 weeks to go see Jennie and Ryan in Germany.

Busy, busy.....

Hey all,

Just a quick blogging here this morning....

Shane is doing well and settling in his "dorm" type room. He told me yesterday they will be moving into some new barracks once they are built. His whole unit is brand new and they are training for their deployment to Iraq next year. He was also told that any training he would like to go do, he is welcome to it. He is thinking about jump school, etc. He was also asked to be the armour guy and drive the Sgt around so he goes for training in July sometime. He has a lot more info than I do, so I will get the rest and let you all know. He also has an address which is: PFC Schultz, Shane L Bld 7001 E Infantry Rd. Box 104 Ft. Riley, KS 66442.

Kids are great....Kalyn comes home in 2 weeks and Tyler is working and hanging out with friends lately.

Ive been busy catching up with clients and their houses and doing things around here. Keeps me moving but this week should be a bit slower so I can get my newsletter out and keep up on here also. I signed up for the 4th of July 5K so Im looking forward to that. :)

Yes, it is June!!

Hey all,

Been real busy since all the company left....had to catch up on cleaning and laundry and then had to catch up on my clients homes that I missed cleaning as well. Whew I'm exhausted!! This coming week I have to work an extra day at the gym, but that is ok since Kalyn is out of town. Not a whole lot to do when she is gone. I played golf for the first time ever last weekend and here is a photo of me in action. :)

Tyler is settling into post graduation life and haven't seen him around too much lately!!

Shane is settling into his barracks tonight and does get to stay there contrary to what he was told earlier in the week. They said he may have to rent a place off base. So, we were a little scared we would be paying for him to rent a place as well. Things are working out so far, so that is good.

Kalyn is having fun in Alaska with Gramma and hopefully I hear from her soon.

Hey all,

Thought I would attach a few photos of things that have been going on around here! We are all doing well and enjoying family time together. I go back to the bank tomorrow (Friday), but have the weekend off to help Shane get packed up and ready to head out to Ft. Riley, KS. Kalyn leaves with my mom for a month on Sunday so it will be myself and Tyler for a whole month. Pretty quiet, if you ask me...

The company all came and left. We had a great time with everyone and the graduation party was pretty fun although it rained so we all had to stay inside. It pretty much rained ALLLLL weekend, but cleared up on Monday so that we could all go to Santa Fe and do some shopping on the Plaza and have lunch. There were 10 of us so we took 2 cars down to SF. Wonderful times were had by all and I've gotten the house mostly cleaned up after the craziness.
